Workshop in NYC for singers, voice teachers, coaches and voice clinicians with Marci Rosenberg and Robert Sussuma
From the event page:
This unique workshop delves well beyond traditional vocal pedagogy practices by combining numerous Exercise Physiology, the Feldenkrais Method, and Motor Learning principles into an experiential format that fully explores how to train the voice in an process-oriented way.
Throughout the workshop, a series of Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons will be interwoven with science-based, interactive lectures. Topics will include: vocal wellness, maintenance and fitness, in addition to the biomechanics of voice production with specific emphasis registration and belting. Many studio tools will be introduced and explored from variations of semi-occluded vocal tract exercises to hands-on techniques for releasing the tongue and jaw.
With a firm understanding of the foundational theory and a wide array of studio applications, participants will emerge from this experience with a new perspective on voice training and a "vocal roadmap” to facilitate both effective problem-solving for challenging issues and successfully guide their own voice and the voices of their students to a more optimal state of vocal fitness and conditioning.
